ITALIAN CREAM
Mrs. Gideon Hixon
Dissolve 1/2 box of gelatine and add to 1 quart of milk. Beat yolks of 3 eggs, 1 cupful of sugar, and juice of 1 lemon; stir it into the milk and let it come to a boil. Flavor with vanilla. When nearly cold, stir in the beaten whites of the eggs and set on ice.

PREVENT BOILING OVER
Grease the top of kettle when cooking fruit or candy and it will not boil over.
